Serve Legal emerged when co-founders Ed and Julian faced challenges with compliance and regulation. Frustrated by the lack of cost-effective solutions in the market, they took matters into their own hands to ensure their business stayed afloat.
In early 2006, Ed Heaver and Julian Sargeson were alcohol retailers with a problem. The local authority had found one of their sites to be consistently serving underage people.
Ed and Julian wanted to check the training of their staff, measure their site performance and demonstrate to the authority that they were taking the issue seriously. They couldn't find a company providing a cost-effective service, so they decided to do it themselves.
And so, Serve Legal was born…

Serve Legal helps market leading companies across a wide range of sectors and compliance issues. We work with large supermarkets, pub groups, off-licences, small multiples, convenience store franchises, symbol groups, late night venues, bookmakers, knife retailers and broadcasters across the UK & Ireland.
Serve Legal has helped me to build a lot of marketable skills in a work environment that I truly believe no other company has. Although it is only my first year of Uni and my first year working for them, I am excited to see where it goes.

Serve Legal offers brilliant part time work. I only joined recently and I have already completed several audits, which shows there are lots of audits offered. I have had positive experiences with all the staff, who are very supportive and answered any questions I had about the jobs. I would recommend this to anyone who is a university student or has a part time job, who wants to earn some extra cash, whilst also being able to keep the items bought, such as alcohol or grocery items.

Highly recommend working for Serve legal. Worked for serve legal for over 3 years now and I couldn’t have enjoyed the work here any more. Serve Legal is the perfect side hustle for a student. I have been an auditor for 8 months now, and the flexibility around exams and day-to-day life has been perfect. Audits are easy to pick up in different locations and are well-paid. Various opportunities are available alongside regular audits such as days out to the coast, race meetings and supermarket home deliveries. Managers are easily reachable via text message to offer extra audits or resolve any issues you may have. I would highly recommend the job to anyone looking to make some extra money over the summer and you can even audit with your friends too!

Been hired very recently and already been given plenty of audits and jobs to do. I have received lots of support from the area managers which have been great to work with and communication between them is clear and open. Would definitely recommend this as a job for students that cannot commit to a full time job or are just trying to earn some extra money on the side.
