Supporting Young Minds - Charity Event March 2024

Serve Legal are Invited to 'Horizons: An Evening With Young Minds'

At Serve Legal we are committed to making a positive impact beyond our core auditing services. At the centre of Serve Legal is a dedicated and vast auditor community, largely comprised of young people between the ages of 16-24. Year after year we pledge our commitment to supporting our young people with opportunities for career progression, educational and employment support, personal development as well as mental health support.

For the past 18 months, Serve Legal has proudly partnered with Young Minds, contributing donations that directly support their essential projects. Last week Catriona, Ed, Jenni and Tia from the Serve Legal internal team were invited to attend 'Horizons: An Evening With Young Minds' at the prestigious Bank of England. We were eager to witness the tangible outcomes of our collaboration and to learn more about the crucial work being done to champion youth mental health.

This event, designed by Young Minds' Youth Advisors, outlined the vital work that Young Minds perform each year and offer thanks to the other attending sponsors for their support. The evening unfolded with a series of impactful presentations, featuring poets, speakers and most importantly the voices of young individuals whose lives have been positively impacted by Young Minds' initiatives. Their stories served as a poignant reminder of the importance of our ongoing commitment to prioritising mental health in our company values.

Speakers shared insights into the challenges faced by young people today and the critical role organisations like Young Minds play in providing support and resources to young people across the UK. From innovative programmes to dedicated advocacy efforts, it was clear that every donation contributes to meaningful change in the lives of those struggling with mental health issues.

As the event drew to a close, our team left feeling inspired and reinvigorated in our mission to support youth mental health. The evening served as a powerful reminder of the impact that collective action can have in creating a brighter future for generations to come.

At Serve Legal we remain committed to fostering a culture of empathy, compassion, and support, both within our organization and in the broader auditor community. Our partnership with Young Minds is just one example of how we strive to make a difference beyond our day-to-day operations and we are excited to continue this as we press further into 2024.
