Empowering Our People: How Serve Legal’s Flexible Working Culture Helps Employees Thrive
At Serve Legal, our mission has always been about more than just compliance testing. We’re equally passionate about creating a working environment where our people can achieve their personal goals alongside their professional ones. One of the most important ways we do this is through our commitment to flexible and remote working.
Whether it's balancing university deadlines, caring responsibilities, or ambitious personal projects—like completing an Ironman—our team has the freedom and support to make it all work.
The Power of Flexibility
Flexible working is more than a perk at Serve Legal; it's part of our DNA. Many of our operational and support roles are structured in a way that allows employees to work from home and manage their time in a way that suits them. This autonomy not only builds trust—it also opens doors for our people to pursue growth both inside and outside of work.
For Georgina, one of our dedicated Weekend Operations Assistants, this flexibility made it possible to take on one of the biggest physical and mental challenges of her life: the Ironman European Championships in Hamburg.
“This project was something that would 100% not have been possible without a job that was possible to work remotely from, to balance work around long training sessions and uni, so I'm very grateful to Serve Legal for that,” Georgina shared.
On 1st June, after months of training, Georgina crossed the finish line after a 3.8km swim, 180km bike ride, and 42.2km run, completing the Ironman in an impressive 14 hours and 19 minutes.
Supporting More Than Just Work
Serve Legal’s approach to remote and flexible working isn’t just about convenience—it’s about supporting people as whole individuals. We believe when people are trusted and supported, they’re more engaged, motivated, and fulfilled.
For Georgina, the ability to structure her work around her training schedule meant she didn’t have to choose between her job and her passion. It also allowed her to raise funds for Sport in Mind, a charity that delivers physical activity programmes for people recovering from mental illness—a cause close to her heart.
A Culture That Cares
Our team is made up of students, recent graduates, working parents, and people at all stages of life—and our policies reflect that. From flexible hours to remote-first options, we’re committed to working with life, not against it.
We’re proud to see team members like Georgina achieving remarkable things both professionally and personally. Her Ironman success is a powerful example of what’s possible when employees are empowered with trust, flexibility, and the right support.
