Serve Legal is excited to announce an update to our green mileage initiative: from today, auditors will now receive 20p per mile for travelling to and from audits using environmentally friendly methods. That’s double the previous rate and a renewed commitment to supporting sustainable choices while rewarding our hardworking auditors.
Green mileage is a way to reward auditors who complete audits using low-impact forms of travel. Whether you walk, cycle, skateboard, or use a scooter, these journeys are eligible for green mileage. It’s our way of encouraging active, eco-friendly travel while recognising the effort it takes to get to each audit site without using a car.
This increase reflects Serve Legal’s broader mission to operate more sustainably and reduce the carbon footprint of our nationwide operations. As a business working across thousands of locations every week, encouraging more green travel contributes meaningfully to environmental progress. By doubling the reimbursement rate, we hope to make eco-friendly options even more appealing and accessible.
There are plenty of reasons to consider green travel for your audits:
By reducing reliance on cars and fossil fuels, our auditors are helping cut down emissions and congestion in their communities. Small changes add up. Every green mile means cleaner air, fewer cars on the road, and a step toward a more sustainable future.
Auditors can claim green mileage via the usual mileage section at the end of each audit– just select the appropriate green travel option and enter the number of miles travelled. Make sure the milage you claim is accurate and honest so we can continue offering this benefit fairly to all.
This change is part of a bigger picture: at Serve Legal, we want to champion responsible business practices, support our people, and do our part to look after the planet. By increasing the green mileage rate, we’re not just helping auditors earn more – we’re helping shape a more sustainable future together.
If you're not already using green travel, now is a great time to give it a go!
