How Auditing Improved My Confidence and University Life

It is well known that auditing is an incredible job for students and young people looking for flexible work. Hear how Seth is benefitting from Serve Legal's work offering whilst at University.

I have been a Serve Legal auditor since January 2023 and I have thoroughly enjoyed it! When it comes down to the benefits, three things especially come to mind:

One of the biggest advantages of taking on this role is that I have found that I am much more confident in how I carry myself, compared to when I first started. This is especially useful when speaking with new people. I have also found a boost in confidence when speaking up for people who may not be as confident in sharing their allergies or food intolerances, when getting food out in a restaurant. Serve Legal has given me a great insight into the importance of allergy awareness and communication.

Another key advantage for being an auditor with Serve Legal is the flexibility. Being in full time education has meant that most jobs with traditional working hours just simply won't work for me, as I need time to study and revise. However, Serve Legal is very accommodating when it comes to juggling hours that are spent auditing, home life and education. They understand that student life comes first! This hugely alleviates the pressures and stress of looking for a traditional part time job that is willing to accommodate my busy life.

The third advantage is that auditing is enjoyable! You get paid to travel around the United Kingdom and Ireland and go shopping for things that are listed by the task brief. I have had opportunities to visit seaside, for audits, and had the chance to travel into beautiful areas of countryside.
